Dave Kratt

Tour Business Coach

After receiving my Applied Degree in Ecotourism & Outdoor Leadership from Mount Royal University in Alberta, Canada, I have made a living for the past 20 years in the alternative tourism industries as: a guide, a researcher, an instructor, a teacher, a facilitator, a manager, a business owner and a naturalist. I have worked in many world regions including: Central America, Australasia, Asia and North America; whilst applying my skills and training to various tourism, cultural and environmental initiatives.

I have been fortunate enough to find success through starting a number of businesses of which I tend to tailor to a more personal agenda of work/life balance. Recently, I literally sold the farm. I offloaded all personal and business assets and I have relocated my family (wife, daughter, and 2 dogs), to be more present in aiding my aging parents. This has in-turn provided me with the opportunity to share my business expertise through a few new and exciting channels. In addition to regular Business Coaching for Guest Focus, I have recently started a consulting business called Wild Kratt Tourism Consulting Ltd. The two operations compliment each-other and have helped me to find ways to share my passions for: recreation, tourism, travel, nature and enabling others to engage in these activities safely as well as conscious towards our potential social, economic and environmental impacts.
